Unusual, isn't this ?

Found this post-box, nailed to a tree at Somanathapura, Karnataka. And thought it could fit in with this Thursday's Alphabe - U (U for unusual).

    What a fun find! I have to admit...that for some reason, from when I was small...whenever I saw a huge tree with widespread branches...I would love to climb up there or would love to imagine a great treehouse to sit in...

    So, I would think that is the perfect place for a postbox :o)

    Looks like all are thrilled with the idea of postbox on a tree. :) A common sight here.
    I would love to go there and post myself a letter just to see how the cancellation mark looks like. Nobody posts letters these days. :( Just e-mails.

    Wow, what a unique link to Alphabe-Thursday's letter "U".

    WHAT is the cancellation mark? I clicked on the picture and enlarged it and I still can't tell what it is.

    Sorry, my vision must be sleeping in on this Sunday morning whilst I read through these fun Alphabe-Thursday links.
