Getting dolled up

K R Circle is a prime landmark in Mysore. And I took these early morning shots in November last when the city was getting dolled up. Can't recall the occasion, though.

Amateur and an athlete

I am an amateur, my camera is basic, and I attempted an action shot. I couldn't click fast enough as she was running towards us; and I was taken unaware as she sprinted past me on her home run. This, then, was the best of the shots I could get. Photo taken on Radhakrishnan Ave., Mysore.

Daylight Streetlights

This wouldn't happen, if they have a timing device that switches off municipal street lights at the crack of dawn. The photo pertains to my JLB Rd. neighbourhood in Mysore. During our morning walk my wife and I occasionally run into a municipal staffer on a bike doing the rounds of power switch-boxes fitted on every other electric pole. On this morning I was late for the walk; so was the switch-man.
