Gurukar at work

Tree-lover Gurukar goes about the town every morning, looking for vacant space on roadside where he can plant a sapling. He carries the planting kit,and a sapling , on his bike. He works on his own, and has planted, in the last 10 years, over a thousand saplings in Mysore.
My Shadow Shot this Sunday.

    IF YOU SEE A SHADOW

    If you see a shadow
    And want to keep it near,
    Point your trusty shooter
    (Make sure the lens is clear);
    Press with care the shutter,
    Do not slam or sock it—
    Then you’ll have a photo
    To carry in your pocket!

  5. Yes, Gurukar does it for free.What's more,he spends a part of his pension on buying saplings from the forest dept. nursery. Gurukar,68,is a retired government official.

  6. What a noble man to do this. I guess he is sort of our legendary Johnny Appleseed who went about the states of Ohio, Indiana and Illinois,planting apple trees!
