Silence zone, for vehicles passing by the Institute of Oriental Studies, Mysore. The institute, frequented by research scholars has collection of over 35,000 palm leaf manuscript. Look up Smiling Sally for more on Blue Monday.
Fascinating! I have never seen a horn on a sign like that. Here, it would have a slash mark through it to indicate not to blow your horn. I think that's wise to have it there with all of the scholars studying inside.
Interesting. I would have thought this to mean blow you horn! LOL

I like the way you see it. They should have put a cross on the bugle. But then this is a relatively quiet street, with not much of traffic.

I would never thought of this as a silence zone. I would probably been in trouble for blowing my horn.
ReplyDeleteWow that is very interesting sign. Is that mean no blowing of horn?
