Tree-lover Gurukar goes about the town every morning, looking for vacant space on roadside where he can plant a sapling. He carries the planting kit,and a sapling , on his bike. He works on his own, and has planted, in the last 10 years, over a thousand saplings in Mysore.
My Shadow Shot this Sunday.
How fantastic! What an incredible thing to do! I love your shadow shot! We need more people like Gurukar! Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteIF YOU SEE A SHADOW
If you see a shadow
And want to keep it near,
Point your trusty shooter
(Make sure the lens is clear);
Press with care the shutter,
Do not slam or sock it—
Then you’ll have a photo
To carry in your pocket!

ReplyDeleteMy shadow shot, have a blessed Sunday!
Yes, Gurukar does it for free.What's more,he spends a part of his pension on buying saplings from the forest dept. nursery. Gurukar,68,is a retired government official.
ReplyDeleteWhat a noble man to do this. I guess he is sort of our legendary Johnny Appleseed who went about the states of Ohio, Indiana and Illinois,planting apple trees!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the legendary Johnny Appleseeed here in our country from long ago.
