It's not safe, but it is the easy way, a short cut, to move from one platform to another. Such is the scene at a wayside station on the rail line between Bangalore and Mysore. My post for Sundays in My City, SOOC, Shadow Shot and Scenic Sunday.
"Better safe than sorry," says an American (or is it English) aphorism.
I ONCE HAD A SHADOW
I once had a shadow—or did she have me? My shadow and I could never agree. I would say something, she’d say the reverse; Our arguments flared, my lips I would purse, Refusing to speak to her anymore— So my shadow got up and marched out the door! I have not seen her from that day to this— That’s one stubborn shadow I surely don’t miss!
That always scares me here when people do that!
ReplyDeleteConvenience plus risk is a dangerous equation. But I love the striped tree. Are the markings of special significance? To Mark the RR crossing perhaps?
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteGreat snapshot! Have a great day!

Shadows here and here
I can understand why people do this, but it's scary.
ReplyDeleteSo many people get hit by trains over here and I'm always a bit surprised by it.
ReplyDeleteThat's too scary for me! I'd take the long way around.
